How to Pay HMRC Tax

HMRC have different accounts and references to use when paying different taxes. Please ensure you make payment to the correct account.

Details of how to pay are available to view anytime in your client portal. Click on 'view folders', then 'shared folders', 'useful information' and 'tax ways to pay'.

Self Assessment


Amounts to pay are shown on the back page of your tax return (SA302). The reference is your UTR number with a K at the end.

Bank details and payment by debit card can be found by clicking the link:
https://www.tax.service.gov.uk/pay
Select 'Self Assessment Tax' and then click 'No continue to payment options'

Corporation Tax

Amounts to pay are shown on the document 'Corporation Tax Overview' uploaded to your portal.

Bank details and payment by debit card can be found by clicking the link:
https://www.gov.uk/pay-corporation-tax
Click 'Pay Now' and select 'No continue to payment options'

PAYE

Amounts to pay are shown on the Employers Payslip (P30) uploaded to your portal.

Click 'Pay Now' and select 'No continue to payment options'

VAT

If we prepare your VAT return the amount due and due date is notified by email when we file. If you have a Direct Debit set up with HMRC, this will be collected automatically.

The reference to use is your VAT number.
